Procurement Campaign

The procurement campaign carried out by GIZ to support the Ukrainian energy sector under the Federal Government’s Ukraine Winter Aid - on behalf of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK) - has officially concluded in February 2025. The campaign addressed the urgent need for spare parts and technical supplies resulting from the continued pressure on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure following the Russian invasion.

Overcoming challenges such as long production times and technical incompatibilities between Ukrainian and international grid standards, the campaign successfully delivered goods worth €11.8 million to Ukraine. These materials play a crucial role in stabilizing and restoring the country’s damaged energy systems. The collaborative effort stands as a strong example of international solidarity and targeted support for Ukraine’s energy resilience.
